Re: 1872H 50 cent challenge
A very interesting coin.
Perhaps the high points did look the same as the rest of the coin at one time.
It may have been heavily circulated (after the fact) making the evidence disappear.
Studying the magnified pictures it looks as though some of the high points still have a hint of the same characteristics as in other areas. IMHO
