Re: 1931

Three cases of passing counterfeit coins were reported to the Mint by the Royal Canadian Police. These coins were bronze coins, with a slight coating of silver. The solutions used and some of the coins which had been seized were examined in this Department.

In respect to these cases, an officer from this Department attended the trials in Montreal to give evidence.

A.L. Entwistle, Chief Assayer.
