Re: A question for Rob - 1858 SP66RB

Alain - The reverse is RC23 without a doubt. It is tough to tell for sure from Sandy's photo, but I believe the obverse is OB9. It is definitely not OA1. Look at the T in GRATIA.

The other OB9 markers (re-punched R in REGINA and NA in CANADA) cannot be seen in his photo, but I suspect that they are there. This is also an early die state, before the obverse cracks formed.

Nice coin.
