Bill is exactly right, So they made 500 specimens, but 400 of them are still SP65 or better. making them "common" in canada's market. Bit of a different story if it were US but that's another topic. The inverse can also be true depending on date. Say they made 100 specimens and 99 of them are inpaired, Sp64 or worse. to get that single unimpaired one is virtually impossible, hence the exponential price Bill alluded to. But in the case of 1902, 1908, 1911, usually a top business strike is tougher to find than a specimen.
