Real Estate vs Precious Metals

SPP, I understand that there is a lot of silver not worth mining unless prices are sky high. I am just not sure that current prices constitute a bubble, as opposed to a reasonable price.

Here is the link to the article on real estate I referred to earlier. http://www.federalreserve.gov/pubs/IFDP/2005/847/ifdp847.htm

Just my opinion, but I think that as more people become aware of how messed up things are, and how much worse they will get, they will stop believing the standard propaganda such as:

Job market improving. over 250k new jobs created in Dec - when in fact the workforce increases and the number of people without jobs increases.

Such as: the gov't reports "little or no" increase in inflation or cost of living (except of course the things you don't need) like food, gas, energy etc.

Next thing you know they will factor in the decline in housing prices and say the cost of living dropped by 203%.

As people look for ways to preserve what they have, precious metals are an option ... there are more people, and there are more people doing without.

Those are formulas for sustained 'higher' prices in p.m.'s imo.

Fun to debate this.
