OT: cost of gas

As US consumers are faced with $4-5/gallon gas, I was reminiscing with my brother about gas wars of the 1960s. I was remembering when gas was .19/gallon during such a war, and typically hovering around a quarter/gallon.

He reminded me we could still buy gas for 20 cents a gallon. Just use two silver dimes of the same period.

Who would have thought?
