Re: An unusual cent

I think it probably is plated, but it is still very odd. The plating is certainly not gold..this coin is surprisingly hard. I again tried to scratch it without success. I am thinking it must be plated with a steel hardener like chrome, tungsten, vanadium or something like that. I will advise on the weight when the scale arrives......
