Gold, placer type

In Canada, how is placer gold placed, as far as category? Because gold can be determined as to where it came from, by an assayer, and because it depends on the area of origin, i.e. whether it is found in , gfor example a known "chimney blow-out", it will be micron type, or size, and usually pretty pure. Other types will be mixrd in the area where there is other metals, (silver, platinum, etc, and as a well as copper. in the latter case, it will be known as "electrum". My question is, " how is it figured, as, for example, artifact, or some other category, and how then is it evaluated? If it is found in place, that is in a piece of quartz, with gold viewable, and in the case of "Rose quartz", where the "rock" is quite transparent,it is much more valuable than in bullion form, because (in the US, id is called an artifact), as far as I have been told. This should keep you out odf trouble for a few minutes. TIA. All comments welcome, and apprecioated. Where i am in error, i also enjoy being informed as to the correct version. Cheers, Dick
