OT: What should someone make per hour?

This is a continuation from the previous posting. It was implied that Canada Post employees aren't worth $26/hr. Then what are they worth? What should people make?Should our government just keep giving tax breaks to big business, like banks or oil companies that are profiting 1 Billion per month, or more? Great for the shareholders, but what happened to our middle class? Should we go like the US and erase the middle class, make everything overseas and pay everybody $10/hr or less. Then we would have a small amount of people doing really well and the majority poor.I don't think so. I do know that the top 2% of Canadian families have a combined income of 130k or more. The middle class is already almost gone where I live. The average house in the Vancouver area is almost a million. How is someone making $26/hr or $55,000 a year suppose to afford that? My father made $10/hr in 1970 when he bought his home for $25,000. Today someone would have to make $400/hr to have the same middle class living. What should skilled trades get paid? What should professionals, with a masters get paid? I know people in different professions ( Fireman - 80k, ... Masters Degree in Business, Commercial bank manager - 80-90k.... Teacher - 65k..... Teacher with Masters Degree - 80k..... Mechanic - 65k..... Transit Police - 60k ) . What should the minium wage be? Should we have allowed McDonald's to take advantage of kids and pay them $5-$6/hr for there first 500 hours at which time they get bumped up to $8.50/hr (min wage) .. only to cut there hours back once they reached 500 hours? These are all just questions and I am open to critizism. What do you think?

P.S. I am not a Postal worker I do believe big business should get tax breaks as long as they create jobs. I also dislike a lazy worker, but do not think a worker is lazy just because they make $26/hr
