Re: 1858 10 cents question
I have to turn that discovery honour back over to you, Terry. Although I have a couple of 5/5s, I pulled the coin I spoke of out and it is not one of them. Instead, it appears to (possibly) be a pairing of the repunched A & D obverse in question with the 8/5 reverse, except prior to the 5 punch being used.
(On another note, I believe you have gained an understanding of why some have departed.)
