Gatewest may not be the best choice. Certification would undoubtedly be a very good place to start. If you are in Canada, think about sending it to CCCS (as ICCS will not likely certify an error of this sort). If in the US, consider PCGS or NGC error certification services.
Once certified, consider placing it in a national auction. You would achieve your best price at such. There are many interested in Canadian errors, though they do not usually bring strong prices. If the coin were US, you would likely get very good money. As it is, my guess is you might be looking at 2k plus or minus.
