The point I was making is not to buy rare coins that have problems. What are you trying to say? Rare, problem free coins sell for over trends? Big surprise!!!! Clearly this coin had no problems and someone was willing to pay for that or were there two bidders that just had to have the coin and bid it up. No where in csdmaniac's post did he say slightly corroded...you added that. The gentleman who offered the VG10 coin said $5000 and you say you would jump at a VG10 for under $6500....well, what are you waiting for? You won't buy it because of the corrosion....my point clearly made. By the way, I will still give the same solid 30 years of collecting advice.
